Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

1. Introduction

At [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Dealigent”, “we”, “us”) we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our website (dealigent.ca), application, and related services (the “Services”), and how we keep our practices transparent and secure. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. If you have any concerns, review your account settings or contact us at privacy@dealigent.ca.

2. Information we collect about you

  • Personal information — your name, email, job title, and contact details.
  • Business-related data — information about your role, organization, and team.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser and device type, and usage data.
  • Platform interactions — how you navigate and use the website and app.
  • Content you provide — deals, notes, tasks, contacts, and documents you upload for analysis (e.g., CIMs, rent rolls, offering memos).

3. How we collect information about you

  • Directly from you — when you sign up, create deals, upload documents, contact us, or connect an integration.
  • Automatically — via cookies, logs, and analytics as you use the Services.
  • From third parties — business partners, integrations, or publicly available sources, where applicable.

4. How we use your information

We use your data to operate and improve the Services, including to:

  • provide, secure, and operate the Services (authentication, access control, collaboration);
  • generate AI-driven analysis, summaries, grades, and recommendations on the deals and documents you submit;
  • improve security and troubleshoot technical issues;
  • analyze trends and personalize your experience; and
  • communicate updates, support, and (optionally) marketing — you can opt out anytime.

We do not sell your data. AI-powered features send your content to our third-party AI provider (Anthropic) only as needed to deliver the feature to you — for example, to analyze a document or answer a question about a deal. Anthropic processes this content under its Commercial Terms, which provide that your inputs and outputs are not used to train AI models and are retained only transiently to screen for misuse (and not at all under a zero-data-retention arrangement). We do not use your content to train models; any model improvement we undertake uses fully anonymized, de-identified data that cannot be traced back to you.

5. Disclosure of your information

We may share data with:

  • Service providers — including Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (application hosting), Anthropic (AI analysis), and Google Maps (map display), under contractual safeguards.
  • Affiliates & partners — where needed to support your use of the platform.
  • Legal authorities — to comply with a court order, regulatory request, or law enforcement inquiry.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We may also disclose information to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Dealigent, our users, or the public. We do not sell personal information.

6. Transferring your personal information

Your information may be processed, stored, or transferred outside Canada (including in the United States), including by our AI providers and cloud/hosting providers. While in another jurisdiction, information may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and regulators under that jurisdiction’s laws. We work with providers that meet high privacy and security standards and we take steps to ensure transfers comply with applicable data-protection laws. [Confirm provider regions and update.]

7. Your choices

  • Cookies & tracking — manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.
  • Marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
  • Your content — view, edit, and delete the deals, documents, and AI-generated insights in your account at any time.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your information by contacting us.

8. Data security

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:

  • Encryption — data protected in transit and at rest.
  • Access controls — role- and deal-level permissions, with least-privilege access for staff.
  • Tenant isolation — each organization’s data is segregated and access is scoped to that organization.
  • Privacy by design — security considered as features are built.
  • Monitoring & review — ongoing monitoring and periodic review of our controls.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continually to protect your information. [If/when you obtain SOC 2 or similar attestations, state them here — do not claim certifications you don’t hold.]

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. Content processed for AI-powered features is not retained beyond its necessary use, and you can delete your content at any time. [Specify retention periods.]

10. Children

The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You may view and edit your profile and content in your account, and you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete. We will respond within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA, or tell you if we need more time.

12. Withdrawing your consent

You may withdraw consent for processing, including for AI-powered features that use your non-anonymized content, by contacting us — though this may limit your access to certain functionality.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on our website, with a new “Last updated” date.
